Craiglee is one of the true legendary wineries of Australia, with the quality of wines befitting its remarkable history. James Johnston, one of Melbourne's founding fathers, established the Craiglee Vineyard back in 1860's and after a long hiatus from the Australian wine landscape, was replanted by current owner and winemaker Pat Carmody in 1976. Over the ensuing years, Carmody and his family have carefully restored Craiglee to its former glory and established it as one of Australia's leading cool-climate wineries - their Shiraz and Chardonnay leading the charge.
