Mount Vernon Sauvignon Blanc at its best – zesty, crisp, simultaneously herbaceous and tropical, beautifully aromatic. – DELICIOUS!
The aromatics are big and punchy with lots of passionfruit, herbaceous and citrus notes. The palate is smooth and packed with a lovely intensity of flavour. Passionfruit, citrus and more tropical fruit characters lead to an attractive herbaceous finish. Bright and refreshing. Classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

The grapes used for Mount Vernon are from central Marlborough region where abundant sunshine, cool nights and a long growing season help build and maintain the rich fruit flavours for which Marlborough is famous.
The Mount Vernon range is made using minimal intervention to maintain the fresh, vibrant, fruit abundant character that Marlborough is known for. Crisp clean and rich with varietal character, these wines are ready to drink now on their own, or can easily be matched with a variety of food styles.
We aim to pick each Sauvignon Blanc vineyard block as the flavours reach their maximum. The grapes are then gently pressed before fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures with specially selected, aromatic yeasts. We then blend only the best tanks to produce this wine.
Harvested from vineyards in the Awatere Valley and the Riverlands, Rapaura areas of the Wairau Valley. The grapes had good flavour concentration and were in excellent condition. We shoot thinned to reduce the yields and the whole crop was lightly leaf plucked on the eastern side early in the season to ensure ripeness. Our aim with this wine is to have strong underlying passionfruit and herbaceous characters.
