Pinot Gris was the first variety to ripen. 2018 was an ideal year for growing Pinot Gris. From very warm spring to an average and mild summer, the Pinot Gris variety was picked at its consistent end Feb/early March slot. This Pinot Gris was hand-picked seven days apart.
The Bass River Single Vineyard Pinot Gris has a vibrant mid straw colour with intense aromas of fresh pear, nectarine and apples. The palate is complex and savoury with a creamy texture. The full flavours and tight acidity combine to give this wine a long, lingering citrus finish.
