Stage Door Wine Co. The Green Room Riesling 2019

Stage Door Wine Co. The Green Room Riesling is pale straw with green hues and an inviting nose of tropical fruits. This follows through to a broad palate of lemon and lime over cumquat and mandarin. A small parcel made in a French barrique was included, adding some spice and complexity to an already intriguing sojourn in the Green Room.

“Fruit from the Avon Brae Vineyard. Includes a small parcel aged in French barriques. At the more floral and sweeter citrus end of the spectrum for the style, but shows classic structure nonetheless. The aromas and flavours of lime cordial and mandarin are fresh and pure, the fine acidity long and lingering. I think these’s a hint of the barrique component in the bouquet.”
