The Printhie MCC Chardonnay is a single vineyard wine, barrel-fermented with wild yeast, and taken through mlf to reduce acidity. Sophisticated winemaking as produced a very elegant and well-balanced wine, with all the length one would wish for.
Printhie wines is owned and operated by the Swift family, locals to the Orange region for 35 years. Every individual batch of wine is made at Printhie aspiring to be classified at the highest level. Every wine is made with the same attention and passion in the hope that it will attain the highest classification. Of course, not all of them do but they all benefit from the treatment lavished upon them.
The unique viticultural region of Orange, in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, is the only Australian region that is defined by elevation above sea level. The 600 metre contour that surrounds the extinct volcano of Mt Canobolas is the minimum elevation for the region. Mt Canobolas rises to a height of 1,400 metres with the highest vineyards positioned at 1,100 metres. Orange is blessed with rich landscapes and natural beauty. The climate produces four distinct seasons, the stunning colours of autumn undoubtedly its crowning glory and the snow capped peak of Mt Canobolas in winter its most dramatic.
