Longview The Piece Shiraz once opened it displays aromas of white pepper, maraschino cherry, liquorice and mocha coupled with restrained pencil shavings of French oak. The palate displays a tightly wound balance of cherry, red currant, blueberries and fresh acidity.
Dusty tannins complement the finish which is dry and clean with tremendous length. Cellar for 12 years or more.
The growing season in Macclesfield in was exceptional despite a burst of early heat. Cool even temperatures followed ensuring an excellent vintage for Longview and the Adelaide Hills.
