Longview Devil’s Elbow Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Longview Vineyard situated among some of the region’s most picturesque vineyard country.
Longview Devil’s Elbow Cabernet Sauvignon is rich purple and violet in colour, with aromas of black current, clove, mint and spiced dark cherry. It has toasty oak characters, perfectly balanced tannin and a long clean finish. Excellent to drink now and will benefit with 12+ years cellaring.
Longview Vineyard is recognised as one of the Adelaide Hills’ leading modern vignerons, crafting a distinguished line-up of wines from each finely-tuned piece of their vineyard. In addition to the region’s proven affinity for Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, Longview’s southerly location is leading the charge of highly regarded Adelaide Hills Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, drawing international critical acclaim along with a swag of awards. Longview Vineyard is proudly family owned and strictly estate grown.
Longview Vineyard 2012 Devil’s Elbow Adelaide Hills Cabernet Sauvignon features in the current and new look edition of Australia’s Wine Business Magazine (WBM). Mike Bennie reviewed the wine:
“92 points. Surprising success with this wine given the variety from the wine region, but it’s a pleasing, mellow, soft, herbal, green herb tinged wine that emerges, endowed in perfume and flavour with blue-black fruits and boasting some fine, supple tannins and decent length. There’s a breath of warmth through the finish, but feels good in its ample way. 14.3%.”
