The Bodegas Exopto Bozeto De Exopto Rose is the baby of the family, Exopto’s Bozeto rosé first appeared following the 2014 vintage. This wine takes its cue from the rosé of Tom Puyaubert’s homeland in France – specifically those from Provence.
The 2016 is crafted from 50% Garnacha and 50% Tempranillo, sourced from El Silo, a single plot of mature vines (30-50 years old), on the chalky soils of Ábalos (Rioja Alta).
Crushed, pressed and fermented in tank with natural yeasts, Exopto’s contribution to the genre of Spanish Rosado is particularly welcomed; a salivating, vibrant wine with the sweet-sour snap of redcurrants, a splash of delicate strawberry fruit and the silky texture and freshness to work perfectly with charcuterie.
