The Kingston Estate Sauvignon Blanc comes from the beautiful Adelaide Hills wine region which is regarded as Australia’s premier region for growing Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
The cool ripening conditions of the Adelaide Hills produce our highly aromatic Sauvignon Blanc, with upfront lychee on the nose and a subtle backdrop of melon and tropical aromas. Lashings of tropical fruits with hints of mint and refreshing passionfruit flavours, following through with a zesty citrus crisp acidity on the finish.
Kingston Estate Sauvignon Blanc shows the diversity across South Australia’s many wine regions ensures that each vintage,wines of very different styles can be produced from the same variety. The Kingston Estate range of single varietal wines are crafted to display distinctive varietal character through careful region selection. The best characteristics of one or more regions, often a combination of warm and cool climate, are matched and blended to provide the perfect synergy of regional definition and varietal integrity. Adelaide Hills is Australia’s most highly regarded Sauvignon Blanc region. The variety has found a natural home in the high altitude and cool climate, producing, balanced and elegant wines with intense varietal characteristics.
The grapes were hand picked at night to maximise quality and enhance varietal flavour. After crushing they were gently pressed and the juice was chilled, clarified and cool fermented using specially selected yeast strains. Blending then occurred with a focus on balancing the tropical fruit flavours with the citrus and aromatics giving the wine length and a refreshing vibrant finish.
