Allan Scott Chardonnay 2013 the use of lightly toasted oak barrels and gentle lees stirring allows for great tannin structure and ‘mouth-feel’ without dominating the delicate aromas.
The finish is drawn out with a cleansing acidity, and just when you thought it was all over and you need another sip – the wine delivers a magical flick of toasty oak, hinting at good ageing potential.
Allan Scott Chardonnay is full of fruit, especially melon and pear. The wine finishes with smooth caramel characters and a dusting of French oak, all balanced with fresh acidity. A very food friendly wine and a real treat for the price.
This Allan Scott Chardonnay would be a fine match to Cod or Mussels.
